Since ancient times, the winter solstice has been celebrated by cultures around the world as a sacred, festive time. Plants such as bay, oak, holly, ivy, mistletoe, and evergreens have long been a crucial part of these celebrations.
Discover the cultural and natural history of these plants as we enter the winter season.
We’ll take a short tour of the garden, and then make a simple evergreen arrangement to take home. Bring a vase and clippers.
Class is limited to 10 people. Registration required by December 10
