Are<\/h2>\n<p class=\"Wp-Normal-P\">The Markham Regional Arboretum Society (MRAS) is a citizen-<wbr \/>run, non-<wbr \/>profit 501-<wbr \/>c3 corporation. \u00a0MRAS works in close cooperation with the City of Concord Public Works department.\u00a0 MRAS is governed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/markhamarboretum.org\/newmarkham\/about\/staff\/\">Board of Directors<\/a> and is operated almost entirely by volunteers. \u00a0MRAS creates plans for the Arboretum and Community Gardens, and oversees the development and maintenance of the park.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"Wp-Normal-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C-C0\">Mission<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"Wp-Normal-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C-C0\">Our mission is to protect and enhance the park&#8217;s ecosystem, lands, watershed, and plants for the benefit of all visitors and to provide space for Concord&#8217;s Community Gardeners to grow vegetables.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Wp-Normal-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C-C0\">Our goals are: \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"Wp-Normal-P\"><span class=\"Normal-C-C0\">Maintaining and developing a diverse living collection of plants especially suited to our local environment;<img
